As you continue your journey along the Amalfi Coast, immerse yourself in the beauty, history and traditions of the region through local cuisine. One of the most authentic, family–friendly and fun ideas for a tour is a cooking class. We want to share a real family atmosphere, which is so valuable in Italy and famous among travelers.

Homemade tomatoes, just picked by the grandmother in the garden, the aroma of lemons and the freshest mint, hand made pasta, followed to ancient traditions and family recipes, which are still stored in a notebook, hand-written, a snow-white tablecloth or the famous one with red patterns. Cheerful laughter and bright Italian speech during interesting stories about the local life. It is a unique experience to spend time with an Italian family and taste the authentic Italian homemade pasta made with your own hands.

We want to present to you the oldest farmhouse on the Amalfi Coast. It originated from the vision of the family's great-great-grandfather, Acampora Pasquale. The house retains its rural charm just as it did many years ago.

In the 19th century, Pasquale made the decision to welcome travelers into his home, establishing a meeting point that drew in artists and poets, such as Salvatore di Giacomo. The famous Neapolitan poet developed a close bond with Pasquale and composed a poem inspired by the farmhouse's scenery, known as "Luna d'Agerola", which eventually became the name of the establishment. Besides admiring the view, Salvatore also had a fondness for the wine that Pasquale would serve him, a tradition that continues to this day with the same traditional methods upheld by the family.

From the 20th century to the present day, the farmhouse has retained its historical allure, providing an authentic and immersive experience for visitors. As the new millennium began, the farmhouse family introduced a unique experience that was not widely known or accessible at the time - cooking classes. The primary aim of this initiative is to impart the traditions of Italian and Amalfitanian culture to guests.

Three products were chosen that best represented Italian and local cuisine. The first one is pasta, which is the most famous and esteemed Italian dish. In the cooking demonstration, the host demonstrates how to prepare tagliatelle, although the dough can be used for various types of pasta (with a few exceptions).

Finally, we have the reigning queen of our class - the mozzarella, particularly the Fiordilatte variety. The cheese's origins are closely linked to the specific town where the farmhouse is located. It is made from a type of cow that is exclusively bred in this town, known as the agerolese cow.
